I got my renewed card last month. It was a month in processing and another 3 weeks from the website change to "mailed" status to actual delivery. The holidays almost certainly slowed it down.

Mine expires mid-Feb(next month) and I am taking my renewal on Saturday(19th). I'm expecting to be without a valid license for a couple/few weeks. I should have taken it earlier, but I'm lazy. At this moment, I think six weeks is probably a pretty good estimate of turn around time.

If you are wanting to be proactive and get it taken care of quicky the earliest you can book your renewal class and submit a renewal is February. You can not apply for renewal more than six months ahead of time. DPS sends out reminder notices some don't get them or they get overlooked. :tiphat:
