I saw a presser from the Dekalb Police Chief and he said that officers returned fire and no one was hurt and that the suspect was arrested. No one was hurt? I wonder if he also meant the suspect.
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.

You should point your anti gun friend to this part of the story.philip964 wrote:http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/de ... y-s/nZTRH/

Hello?!?! He's a convicted felon. What does his possession of guns have to do with the legal possession of firearms by law abiding citizens? It's time people start pointing out the hypocrisy of demanding that law abiding citizens disarm because felons are using guns illegally.Investigators said Hill will be charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, terroristic threats and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
The Constitution preserves the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation where the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. James Madison

kudos to the leo's that took him into custody

Re: AK 47 at DeKalb County Elementary School
You should also point out that it appears he was recently arrested, took a plea deal and got probation. He never should have been out on the street this quickly, nor should he have had a gun. But....he is a criminal...they don't care about laws, never have.baldeagle wrote:You should point your anti gun friend to this part of the story.philip964 wrote:http://www.wsbtv.com/news/news/local/de ... y-s/nZTRH/

Actually, kudos to the school secretary who talked him into surrendering. She already had him give up all of his weapons and he was laying face down on the floor with his hands behind his back when she told them to enter as he was giving up.texanjoker wrote:kudos to the leo's that took him into custody

A most pointless exercise. Gun control is not about reducing crime.

Sure she did good

I wonder where this nut obtained an evil assault weapon? I am sure ATF is all over that today. This guy will help fuel the renewed call for gun control, ect.

During the standoff, Tuff said the suspected gunman "went outside several times and shot at police officers."

Re: AK 47 at DeKalb County Elementary School
yep by disarming law abiding citizens you create a whole NEW class of criminal.
"Our houses are protected by the Good Lord and a gun, you might em both if you show up here not welcome son" Josh Thompson- Way out here (best song ever) "eventually all citizens will become criminals with enough legislation....."
