Unless your place of work falls under the exclusions in the law, you should still be OK to leave your firearm in a locked privately owned vehicle in the parking lot under SB 321.

Re: Your Longest Shot
Longest shot for me was 667 yards. I was mule deer hunting in NM and had already killed out, so I was sitting with another guy. He wounded a deer with his .270 at about 400 yards, and as we were on top of a caprock looking down in a canyon we could see forever. It took me three shots, but I put him ...

Re: Fabricating Shotgun Magazine Tube Plugs
As long as it works, it's legal. GW's don't typically even disassemble your shotgun to see the plug - if they check you they will check by testing to see how many shells they can shove in - like the poster above said, 2 in the magazine is legal, 3 is not.

Re: Need 22lr to teach my boys to shoot
Lewisville Academy gets trucks on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, but they don't know what they're getting ahead of time (they may or may not have whatever you're looking for on every truck). If you're really in a bind, I'll sell you some .22 LR at cost (I live in Lewisville and work in Irving area ...

Re: Range etiquette

This. There are plenty of both types of range rules in my area. Call ahead - if I were in doubt, I'd unholster discreetly in my car and unload, before placing my CCW in my range bag and coming in. The ranges who have rules against unconcealing at the firing line are pretty serious about it.

Re: Diaper bag carry
Whatever works for you! I guess you've identified and dealt with many of the problems/challenges women have who carry off-body, but they'd be enough to keep me from doing it. We have family we see a lot of who wouldn't hesitate to grab our diaper bag and dig through it, so that would be more trouble ...

Re: HOG TRAPPING !
Where did those prices come from - they seem really low.
My dad has a guy that picks them up from his place in East Texas who gets $.50 - $.80 per pound, depending on the size. They don't take any under 100 lb, and they pay more for larger pigs.

Re: 100 yd indoor range?
I've considered shooting from inside my house. I have shot from my back porch & yard.
I wouldn't want to shoot any quantity from inside a house - firearms do put out a good bit of lead and other contaminates that you really don't want in your system. Modern indoor ranges scrub the air and keep ...

Re: 100 yd indoor range?
I went to visit my parents a few weeks ago when my mom retired, and shot a pig from their kitchen - 140 yard shot. Of course, that was in East Texas and not DFW, but it was nice to take the shot from the air conditioning.

Regardless of whether they missed a gun or not, Nobody forced him to fire the gun or try to escape

I wasn't arguing this point; just looking at it from another angle.
