Congratulations to her and you and the family! Happy Independance Day! Our liberties are in the hands of such patriots as she, I can sleep secure in my bed, with the assurance of our Nations security, carefully guarded by ones such as these. This old vet salutes you, May God continue His blessing ...

IIRC Texas MPA is the legislation which allows the carrying of a conceled handgun in your vehicle, not the Castle Doctrine. I have been wrong befor, might be again, but don't think I am.

Re: Fender Bender in RGV results in Sulfuric acid attack
IIRC there have been between 10 and 12 such attacks involving the violence in Mexico between numerous drug cartels. The "war" in northern Mexico may be spilling over the border. Stratford security has been monitoring the exclating number and violence of the conflict for more than 5 years, and over ...

Re: Guess where Gitmo guys are goin? Illinois
Its past time for a trial. Lack of clear rules puts these folks in limbo.
Yep.
All 5 of these detainees were in fact in the middle of trials when the new administration began. One of the first actions President Obama was to order the trials to stop, and to issue instructions that the Guantanamo ...

Re: Why Does Interpol Need Immunity from American Law?
The unrestrained investigative multinational police force allowed loose in the USA is a disaster of incalculable proportions. When President Reagan granted the limited provisions for INTERPOL'S operations the bounds of our liberties were seriously encroached. But at least there were some significant ...

Re: We Lost a True Hero Today: Robert Howard
IIRC General Patton once said, "grieve not for men such as these, but instead thank God he has raised up men such as these to stand in harms way in defense of liberty". May God's great comfort be granted to his family, and comrades in arms. May God raise up similar courageous patriots in the battle ...

IIRC Clint Smith says "if you are in a fair fight, your tactics suck" TAM is correct about older guys, knuckle bumps take a lot longer to heal up when you pass the age of 50. Situational awareness, being in Col Coopers operational "yellow" all the time is a very easy attitude to develop, with ...

Annoyed-man, Very nicely said, eloquent and succinct. You have noted one of the most confusing elements of contemporary descriptions of political "labels" and reading political essays and posts from 90 to 120 years ago as the Progressive movement began to strongly influence USA politics and ...

I'm just an old vet, but because of young folks who have taken up the responsibility for our continued well being as a nation, I sleep well at night secure in the knowledge their willingness to stand in harms way continues the tradition born more than 230 years ago. Sincere thanks to her, and ...
